Master’s Thesis Questionnaire – Nicholas Miosi

Dear participants,

As part of my Master’s thesis in Business Communication at the University of Fribourg, I am conducting research on how cities build and communicate their image through City Branding, aiming to understand the balance between authenticity and attractiveness as perceived by visitors.

To ensure a coherent basis for comparison, the cities included in this questionnaire are drawn from the Brand Finance Global City Index 2024.
I have chosen to focus on the ten highest-ranked European capitals, recognized for the strength of their image and their international appeal.

Your participation in this questionnaire is essential: it will help me better understand how visitors perceive the image promoted by city authorities, their before-and-after visit reactions, and the role of urban communication in this dynamic.

The questionnaire takes about 15 minutes to complete, is entirely anonymous, and all collected data will be used exclusively for academic research purposes.

Your experience and perspective will greatly contribute to enriching this study.
